At Winslow CE School we are committed to promoting excellent levels of attendance and punctuality, enabling our pupils to take full advantage of the educational opportunities available to them.

Good school attendance enables children to feel confident and happy about the school work and activities that they participate in. Evidence also shows that those who attend school every day make better progress and achieve more than those who miss time at school.

We ask our parents and carers to support the school with attendance by:

• Not taking holidays in term time
• Noticing how much time you child as been away from school
• Showing your child that punctuality matters by getting them to school o time and collecting them on time
• Keeping the school informed about anything that may affect your child's attendance

Absence

If your child is unable to attend school, please notify the school office by 9:00am on the first morning of absence.

When reporting an absence you will need to advise us of the child's name, class and detailed reasons for absence. This can be done in one of three ways.
