Parents

Useful information for parents and carers.

Please have a good look in our 'ABOUT US' section, where you will find information about our CURRICULUM and PUPILS' ACHIEVEMENT.

Please also spend some time looking through our POLICIES, PROCEDURES, GUIDANCE section, where you will find information on such topics as attendance, our approach to maintaining excellent behaviour and discipline, our rewards systems and our pride in pupils wearing school uniform, arriving at school looking smart (with no extreme haircuts), ready to learn.

Thank you.

SCHOOL ADMISSION ARRANGEMENTS

FS1 (3 and 4 year olds)

Following wide consultation, our Foundation Stage provision has been extended to 3 and 4 year olds from September 2017. Led by a qualified teacher, your child will be able to complete a full academic year (mornings only) before applying for full time education in Foundation Stage 2. Winslow CE Combined School will continue to offer the universal 15 hours for Early Years provision; for children and their parents eligible for the additional 15 hours, the school is working in partnership with Tree House Pre-School, Rising Stars, and local childminders to offer the full 30 hours' entitlement to enable the needs of the children to be best met.  Application for places should be made by contacting Mrs Freshwater at school

FS2, KS1 and KS2

Our admissions policy is determined by the County Council.  Our admission number for EYFS and KS1 is 30; on entry to KS2 it is currently 60 (+4) following a recent consultation. The county policy can be viewed on their website. To apply for a place at Winslow C of E Combined School you need to contact the Local Authority in which you live.  If you live in Buckinghamshire, you can apply online by going to www.buckscc.gov.uk where you will find step by step guidance.

If you wish to apply for a place after the normal transfer time then you need to complete an 'in year' admission form from your own Local Authority.  If you live in Buckinghamshire, this can be downloaded from the County Council website.
